In 1998 the LPK Training Centre won the tender to implement EU PHARE funded project of Establishing Clubs of Entrepreneurs based on the learning through networking among peers approach. Financial support was provided for the first year of Clubs operations. Danish consultants from Center for Ledelse were used for launching and build up phase of all newly established clubs.
Starting with two clubs in 1998, the network has been gradually growing. Today it consists of 16 clubs for senior executives and business owners, 3 clubs of HR managers, 4 clubs for junior executives and 1 club of OSH managers involving approx 450 managers on a regular basis. Each Club has a membership of approx. 20 executives.
The Clubs are built on the pattern following practice in many European countries and the USA, where managers and company owners join circles of peers from non-competing industries. An extensive list of business members, the diversity of their interests, knowledge and experience, geographic spread of the Network have created the opportunity to develop the Clubs as an up-to-date form of learning and development for company executives.
